I wish to share some of my experience of being with Suketu when he was writing Maximum City - Lost and Found. I was for long time thinking of doing something on my experience with Suketu. I have now planned to write series of incidences that happened during those days. I am mentioned as Girish Thakkar in the Book. To your suprise I have still not read the book, because every page I open is already known to me. So some of the incidences may or may not appear in the book.
One such incident, I remember today is about using fork and spoon, after reading blog by Fork-Spoon-Knife.
Once we were at a resturant eating Masala Dosa, I found that Suketu was not using fork and spoon, instead he was eating tihe his hands. Lookingat this I told him "You having stayed in west, howcome you are not using fork and spoon to eat with" and he replied "Look Yuvraj, you never know where the forks and spoon have gone, but you definetly know where your hands and fingers have gone". Adding to his comment he further said that India food stuff are not meant to be eaten by forks and spoons especially stuff like dosa and all.
I shall be writing more such incidents keeping coming....
